The older sister of the 15-year-old boy killed last Thursday morning in a car accident in Onondaga County has passed away.
The Fabius-Pompey School District announced on Tuesday that 17-year-old Gia Myers, a senior at the school, had died from injuries suffered in an accident on State Route 91 in the town of Pompey just prior to 8 a.m.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Gia Myers was operating a 2010 Hyundai Accent southbound when she lost control due to snow-covered roadway and entered the opposite lane striking a northbound 2022 Chevy Tahoe, driven by a Fabius woman.
Gia’s brother’s Gavin Myers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
