A warrant from Ontario County Family Court led to the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
35-year-old Matthew Read was arrested on the warrant charging him with child neglect, which also includes nonsupport of a child.
Following his arrest by the Penn Yan Police Department, Read was turned over to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office to await arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
