She would have celebrated her 60th birthday Sunday. Kristin O’Connell was just 20 years old when she was murdered in Seneca County.
Kristin was a college student from Burnsville, Minnesota. On August 12th, 1985, she came to the town of Ovid, to visit a friend she had met on Spring Break in Florida.
On the evening of August 14th, as she had done on previous evenings, Kristin went for a walk alone and did not return. On August 16th, her naked body was found in a cornfield in Ovid.
Despite having over 2,000 leads, it seems none of them have panned out since state police have never named a suspect in this case.
