A complaint received by 911 in Ontario County of people drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle resulted in the arrest of a Farmington man.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on December 29th, State Police responded to a complaint of people drinking alcohol in the parking lot of the Finger Lakes Gaming and Racetrack in Farmington. Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies and State Police found 25-year-old Robert Malcomson to be the driver of the car. Although he was not intoxicated or consuming alcohol, it is alleged Malcomson was providing alcohol and allowing a 17-year-old female passenger to drink. Later, deputies responded to the teenager’s house for an alleged domestic disturbance call involving Malcomson, who was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child.

An investigation continues at this time for additional allegations.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
