A Syracuse man faces charges in Cayuga County.
The Sheriff’s Department, along with New York State Police, were dispatched to a reported larceny investigation from Tractor Supply in the town of Sennett. It is alleged that one of the suspects, 35-year-old Eric Anderson, intentionally gave a false name to a deputy because of an outstanding warrant he had in another jurisdiction.
Anderson was charged with false personation and brought to the Cayuga County Jail for processing. He was released on an appearance ticket for Sennett Town Court.
Anderson was then turned over to State Police to complete their larceny investigation.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
