SHARE NOW

Wayne County’s premier event for aspiring entrepreneurs is tonight! The community is invited to experience the excitement of the annual Pitch Competition, where five ambitious finalists will take the stage at The Conference Center at Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES in Newark. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., these local innovators will present their groundbreaking business ideas to a panel of judges, each vying for the coveted $20,000 grand prize. Organizers say it’s a night of big ideas, community spirit, and the thrill of watching fresh talent compete to make a lasting impact on Wayne County’s economy.

The Wayne Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) offers a variety of programs aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and fostering economic growth in Wayne County, with the Pitch Competition being one of its standout initiatives. This annual event gives emerging entrepreneurs the chance to gain valuable experience, receive professional feedback, and bring their business ideas to life. By offering financial awards and connecting participants to key resources, WEDC helps build a strong foundation for new and small businesses. In addition to the $20,000 grand prize, a $5,000 secondary award will recognize a business in need of a smaller financial boost, addressing the diverse needs of local entrepreneurs.
