    Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches. Northwest winds gusting as high as 35 mph Monday afternoon will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.
    WHERE
    Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.
    WHEN
    Until 7 PM EST Monday.
    IMPACTS
    Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Snowfall hourly rates could exceed 2 inches per hour through the evening hours. The snow tapers down this evening. Temperatures will be very cold throughout this storm, hovering in the upper single digits to teens the entire time, with colder wind chills.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat. Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

Passenger Who Passed Away After I-490 Bus Accident Identified

The person critically injured in last Thursday morning’s tour bus accident on Interstate 490 in Chili who later passed away has been identified.

38-year-old Tofazzal Hossain, of Bangladesh, was one of 28 people taken to Rochester area hospitals after the bus they were riding on crashed near Exit 4 at around 7 o’clock. The driver was ticketed for fatigued driving, speeding, unsafe lane change, and driving without a seat belt.

The bus was traveling from New York City to Niagara Falls.
