Police have a suspect in custody as they investigate a homicide in the city of Ithaca.
Police responded to a home in the 400 block of South Plain Street at 5:30 Monday morning for a death investigation. It was later determined to be a homicide and a suspect, who has not yet been named, was taken into custody.
Police did say this was not a random act of violence and that because of the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released as notifications are being made.
