    A cold front has pushed through the region and temperatures are quickly dropping below freezing and will continue to drop into the low 20s and teens overnight. A brief period of heavy snow with snowfall rates greater than 1 inch per hour is expected through early Tuesday morning.1 to 3 inches of snow and dropping temperatures will produce a flash freeze and icy conditions on untreated roads and surfaces.

Police: Bomb Threat Reported at Ulster County DEC Office

A bomb threat has been reported at another New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Office.

According to state police, they were notified by the DEC on Monday that they had received a bomb threat via email targeting the Region 3 office in New Paltz.

A thorough investigation of the site by troopers did not turn up any explosive devices.

Police are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone who may have information on the incident to contact them at 845-344-5300.

On Sunday a similar threat was emailed to the DEC office in Bath.
