A Salina woman has been arrested for allegedly abusing a child at a Liverpool Daycare.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to the Shining Stars Daycare on October 30 at around 10:00a. Upon arrival, deputies were notified by a parent and staff that an employee had physically abused a child. An investigation determined that abuse had occurred.
19-year-old Kaylen Chartier was arrested the following day and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a misdemeanor.
Chartier was issued an appearance ticket and Child Protective Services was notified.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
