A Himrod woman was arrested by the Penn Yan Police Department on a bench warrant charging her with criminal obstruction of breathing, unlawful imprisonment, and harassment.
23-year-old Bethany Rose is accused of becoming upset with another person and choking them by placing both of her hands around their neck. Rose is also accused of punching and kicking the victim and holding them against their will.
Rose was brought to the Yates County Jail to await CAP arraignment on the warrant.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
