The investigation into a structure fire in Steuben County has resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old man.
It is alleged that Ivan Caparulo unlawfully possessed a rifle and pistol and acted in a manner likely to be injurious to a person under the age of 17.
Caparulo was charged with a felony count of criminal possession of a weapon, along with criminal possession of a weapon in the Fourth Degree and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.
Caparulo was released following his arraignment.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
