An Elmira woman has been arrested on a charge of attempted murder.
Alexiya Sutton was also charged by Elmira Police with criminal possession of a weapon. Investigators determined Sutton was the suspect in a shooting that happened in the 700 block of West Gray Street late Tuesday afternoon.
No other details have been released about the alleged shooting.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
