Update: Geneva House Sustains Significant Damage from Fire

UPDATE: Geneva City Fire Chief Del Parrotta says the home at 3 Pre-Emption Street is likely a total loss following a fire Saturday morning.

Firefighters found smoke coming from the roof and front of the home, and there was active fire inside. Parrotta says the fire was brought under control in just under an hour, and there were no injuries to occupants or firefighters.

The cause of the fire has not been released.

Border City and White Springs Fire Departments were called in to stand by for Geneva.
