A Williamson man was arrested following an investigation into a larceny in the Wayne County town.
The charges against Timothy Race stem from an investigation into a larceny that occurred out of a home. According to police, the victim and Race were involved in an altercation where the victim left her cell phone in Race’s car. Race is accused of refusing to return the cell phone and told police the victim could have it back only if they paid him $100.
Race was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket for Williamson Town Court.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
