A student at one Western New York community college is accused of bringing an unregistered loaded pistol on campus.
According to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Anthony Parks allegedly had a loaded pistol with a high-capacity magazine in his possession while he was on campus at Genesee Community College in Batavia. The New York City native allegedly posted a photo on social media with the gun, which someone reported to College officials. At no time did Parks make any threats he would use the pistol.
Parks was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and sent to jail in lieu of bail
