    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Two Dead After Apparent Murder-Suicide in Penn Yan

Two people were found dead inside of a home in the village of Penn Yan Tuesday night.

Police Chief Thomas Dunham said they are investigating the incident as a murder-suicide. Police were called at around 7:30 after a family member had arrived at a home at 127 Franklin Street and found two adults dead from gunshot wounds. 37-year-old Michael Personale suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and head while 38-year-old Ashley Manaco suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the neck.

Both bodies have been transported to the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

Chief Dunham said they are continuing to investigate what led to the incident. The Penn Yan Police Department is working with local agencies to provide support to those affected by the incident.
