A highway superintendent in one Schuyler County town is coming under fire after complaints were filed with the state alleging harassment.
The allegations against Orange Highway Superintendent John Rappleye include verbal harassment and creating a hostile work environment. WENY TV reports the town board held a special meeting on the matter Monday night and passed a resolution requiring Rappleye to have a witness present at all times when interacting with subordinates and for any future incidents to immediately be reported to the board.
Rappleye was elected town supervisor in 2021.
