The driver of a car that went off the road and flipped on to its side in Seneca County was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
The accident happened in the town of Covert on July 26th and involved 23-year-old Isaiah Bard, of Burdett. When Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived on scene, they put Bard through standardized field sobriety tests and took him into custody.
After being released from the hospital for minor injuries, Bard was charged with driving while intoxicated, moving from lane unsafely and open container of alcohol inside of a vehicle.
The Interlaken and Ovid Fire Departments assisted the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
