A short standoff Tuesday in Onondaga County ended with a Syracuse man’s arrest.
State Police report responding to an Everingham Road home in the Town of Onondaga for a domestic incident where a preliminary investigation alleged Keidrick Wilson allegedly displayed a firearm during the dispute.
The 21-year-old barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to exit. Following a short standoff which included discussions with a crisis negotiator and Special Operations Response Team, Wilson voluntarily exited the home and was taken into custody.
Wilson was charged with Menacing and Criminal Possession of a Weapon, both misdemeanors.
State Police executed a search warrant at the residence and a Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order was filed under New York’s Red Flag Law.
Wilson was taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending arraignment.
