Six people ranging in age from 3 to 83 were able to safely escape a house fire in Ontario County.
Firefighters from Richmond, Fishers, Honeoye Falls-Lima, West Bloomfield, Bristol, East Bloomfield, Ionia, and East Avon departments responded to the residence at 3484 Taft Road in West Bloomfield shortly before 8 Wednesday morning.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The extent of damage is not known but the Red Cross was called to help the family.
