You can help rid the West River in Naples of invasive species.
The Canandaigua Lake Watershed Association and Finger Lakes Institute will paddle along the river to pull Water Chestnut and European Frog Bit from the water on Wednesday.
Participants will meet at 9:00a at the West River Boat Launch which the watershed association says is off Route 245, 7 miles south of the Village of Middlesex on the right side of the road.
Attendees are advised to wear appropriate paddling attire and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and plenty of water.
The institute will provide kayaks and canoes to those who need them.
