Elmira Man Admits to Using Counterfeit Cash To Buy Car in Schuyler County

An Elmira man will find out at the beginning of August if he will get time in jail after pleading guilty in Schuyler County Court to a felony charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Billy Joe Giggee admitted defrauding another person by purchasing a car with counterfeit $100 bills. The 43-year-old was found with fake $100 bills on him when he was taken into custody.

Giggee will be sentenced on August 1st.
