The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating the driver of a pickup truck who is believed to have struck a motorcyclist and left the scene.
The accident happened at around 11 Friday night on Italy Valley Road in the town of Italy near the Ontario County line. Investigators say Joshua Presher, of Prattsburgh, was riding north when a southbound white pickup truck, believed to be a 2015 through 2019 GMC Sierra 3500 one-ton dually, crossed the center line and struck the 30-year-old motorcyclist head-on. Presher suffered a shoulder injury and lacerations.
Police ask anyone who might have seen a pickup truck that fits that description with front-end damage to call the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at (315) 536-4438 or on their App using the “Submit a Tip” feature.
