Auburn will kick off its Juneteenth celebrations Saturday with its annual parade.
The ceremonies will begin at City Hall at 11:00a where officials and community leaders will deliver speeches to mark the occasion. From there, the parade will make its way to the Booker T Washington Community Center.
Celebrations will continue from 12:00-6:30p at the center with food, vendors, and music.
Special events and programming will be held throughout the following week to celebrate the holiday which is officially recognized on June 19. A full list of Juneteenth programming can be found here.
