Police say a 35-year-old man from the Mohawk Valley is accused of driving almost two-and-a-half hours to Mossy Bank Park in the village of Bath to meet a 14-year-old girl and bring her home.
It is alleged that Andrew McCarthy intended to have a sexual relationship with the teen.
McCarthy, who lives in Otego, was charged with attempted rape and attempted luring a child, both felonies.
