A Waterloo man was arrested Thursday morning on a bench warrant charging him with criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest of Matthew Garneau stems from an incident where he was taken into custody on a bench warrant on the original charge of petit larceny. After Garneau was placed under arrest, he was allegedly found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine.
The 23-year-old Garneau was transported to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to await arraignment at CAP Court for the Bench Warrant and was issued an appearance ticket for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
