A Canandaigua woman was awaiting arraignment in the Ontario County Jail following her arrest on a criminal contempt charge.
Christine Smith’s arrest stemmed from an investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office into a disturbance at 1012 Woodland Park Circle in Canandaigua. It is alleged that Smith violated a stay-away order of protection by going to the residence of the protected party.
Smith will appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date to answer the charge.
