Police have arrested a Canandaigua woman after she allegedly tried to stab another person with a knife through a screen door at a home on South Main Street.
As officers attempted to place Sherlla Denis under arrest, she resisted. When the 40-year-old was brought to the Canandaigua Police Department, she damaged a cabinet in the booking room and refused to be processed.
Denis was eventually sent to Ontario County Jail on charges of attempted assault, criminal mischief, obstruction of governmental administration, and tampering.
