For the second year in a row, USA Today has placed Syracuse’s International Taste Festival as one of the nation’s top 10 city food festivals. Results were announced at noon today, March 27. The three-year-old festival finished eighth in nationwide public voting from among 20 nominees chosen by a panel of the publication’s editors along with experts in the field, alongside festivals in major cities such as Buffalo, Queens, Chicago and New Orleans. The festival returns Saturday, April 6 to the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The International Taste Festival specializes in foods and beverages, performances, and crafts from the many cultures that make up Central New York, providing a mix of choices not typically found at festivals and fairs alongside more familiar fare.

“The reputation of this celebration is growing nationwide and is reflected in the rising numbers of vendors and performers reaching out to us for an opportunity to be here. We’re grateful to the editors and experts at USA Today and to all of those who voted for us.,” said Stephanie Pestillo, festival organizer.

The International Taste Festival celebrates the music, food and crafts of the world’s many cultures.
