A Penn Yan man was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital after being involved in an accident late Monday afternoon.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Troy Wise swerved to avoid a bicyclist on Leach Road in Torrey left the road, struck a utility pole, and rolled into a field. Wise suffered facial lacerations.
An investigation is pending.
The Dresden Fire Department, Penn Yan Ambulance, Yates County Ambulance, and Yates County Office of Emergency Management assisted the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
