The Seneca County Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee recently came together to honor the top police officers in Seneca County with respect to impaired driving enforcement in 2023. In addition, Assistant Legislator Craig Pemberton, of New York State Senator Tom O’Mara’s office, and Chief of Staff Alexis Ogra, of New York State Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan’s office were in attendance to greet and honor the award winners.

Seneca County Sheriff and STOP-DWI Coordinator Timothy J. Thompson, Jr. remarked, “I commend the brave men and women that work tirelessly to keep our roadways safe. I applaud them for their efforts and want them to know that they do make a difference.”
In the last few years, there has been a rise in impaired driving arrests in Seneca County. The Seneca County Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee would like to remind the community to make good choices when consuming alcohol or other substances that may impair their ability to drive a motor vehicle safely.
