Here’s an update on the car versus pedestrian accident that happened in the village of Penn Yan on Wednesday afternoon.
An investigation by the Penn Yan Police Department determined that 88-year-old Suzanne Westlake, of Penn Yan, failed to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in the crosswalk at the intersection of Elm and Main Streets. The victim was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital by Penn Yan Ambulance for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Westlake was issued an appearance ticket for Penn Yan Village Court.
