A person was struck by a car at the intersection of Main and Elm Streets in the village of Penn Yan on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened at around 3:40 p.m. The driver of the vehicle involved, a Jeep, remained on the scene. The victim was taken to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for a checkover.
The Penn Yan Police Department is investigating the incident and will release more information.
