Firefighters in Steuben County were able to prevent a garage fire from spreading to a nearby home on Monday.
When the Wayne and Hammondsport Fire Departments arrived on the scene, the garage was fully involved with exposures and electric wires down. Tyrone firefighters were requested for manpower and set up a fill site. No injuries were reported and there was no immediate word on the cause.
The Wayne Fire Department also thanked the Steuben County Office of Emergency Management, Steuben County 911, NYS Police, and NYSEG for assistance.
