    Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches. Northwest winds gusting as high as 35 mph Monday afternoon will cause areas of blowing and drifting snow.

    Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.

    Until 7 PM EST Monday.
    IMPACTS
    Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Snowfall hourly rates could exceed 2 inches per hour through the evening hours. The snow tapers down this evening. Temperatures will be very cold throughout this storm, hovering in the upper single digits to teens the entire time, with colder wind chills.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat. Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

Missing Onondaga County Man Found Dead

The search for a missing Central New York man came to an end on Monday.

The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office said detectives found Victor Scott while continuing their ground search in the woods near Hawthorne Hill Road in the town of Tully. Scott was reported missing three weeks ago and authorities have been searching for him continuously. The cause of death is yet to be determined by the Medical Examinder’s Office.

The police investigation continues to be non-criminal and will be pending the Medical Examiner’s results.
