A 26-year-old woman lost her life when her car collided with a New York State dump truck that was towing a trailer in Wayne County on Friday.
The accident happened just after 9 a.m. when the unidentified woman lost control of her westbound SUV on snow-covered State Route 31 in Arcadia and collided with the truck. After being cut out of her car, the woman was taken to Newark Wayne Hospital and was pronounced dead.
A passenger in the car was taken to Strong by ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries and the driver of the dump truck was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Newark Fire and Newark Ambulance.
