The report of a theft at the Walmart in Seneca Falls resulted in an arrest by Seneca Falls Police on Monday.
An investigation determined Jonathan Toledo allegedly failed to scan several items at the self-checkout and left without paying for the merchandise.
Toledo was charged with petit larceny and was released on an appearance ticket for Seneca Falls Town Court.
