A local teen is the recipient of the Nicholas Preston Memorial Scholarship offered annually by the Schuyler County Deputy Sheriff’s Association.
Macy Fitzgerald of Watkins Glen is interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement that deals with cyber security.
The scholarship is named after Nick Preston, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 30 in 2009. Nick served as a deputy sheriff in Schuyler County after a career in the Air Force.
