The Cayuga County Conservative Party will hold its endorsement meeting later this month.

Prospective candidates will have the chance to meet with members of the county committee on February 21 to discuss why the party should endorse them in the 2024 election season. Offices in which the party plans to run candidates include:

  • President of the United States (Joe Biden incumbent)
  • United States Senator (Kirsten Gillibrand incumbent)
  • Congressional District 24 (Claudia Tenney incumbent)
  • State Senate District 48 (Rachel May incumbent)
  • State Assembly District 120 (Minority Leader Will Barclay incumbent)
  • State Assembly District 126 (John Lemondes incumbent)
  • State Assembly District 131 (Jeff Gallahan incumbent)
Prospective candidates are encouraged to schedule appointments for an interview as no walk-in candidates will be accepted. Appointments can be scheduled by contacting Conservative Party Chair David Pappert at [email protected].
Pappert told Finger Lakes News Radio that registered Conservatives in the county are encouraged to attend the meeting beginning at 6:00p at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn. There, they’ll have a chance to hear from the candidates and ask questions before the committee makes its decisions on who to endorse.
