Funeral arrangements are now complete for the Wayne County firefighter who passed away in the line of duty earlier this week.
Daniel DeWolf became unresponsive while working a structure fire in Arcadia last Sunday night. After CPR and other life-saving efforts were given, the 52-year-old was taken to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital where he later passed away. A celebration of Daniel Dewolf’s life will be held Sunday at 2 at New Life Assembly of God Church in Lyons.
DeWolf was with the Fairville Fire Department for 32 years and won the department’s “Fireman of the Year” award multiple times.
