Firefighters from four different departments responded to a house fire at 4789 John Green Road in the town of Barrington just after four Tuesday morning.
When the first units arrived on scene, they spotted the fire coming from the second floor of the structure. Robert Davis and another person inside were able to safely escape. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Dundee, Penn Yan, Himrod, and Benton fire departments responded to the scene with stand by provided by Dresden, Bellona and Branchport-Keuka Park Fire. Dundee Ambulance and the Yates County Office of Emergency Services assisted the Yates County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.
