Rep. Tenney Provides Update on Dansville Man Detained by Taliban

SHARE NOW

Efforts are ongoing to get a Finger Lakes man released after being detained by the Taliban in Afghanistan since August of 2022. Congresswoman Claudia Tenney says Ryan Corbett and his family left Afghanistan when American forces withdrew in 2021 but he returned a year later to salvage what was left of his business and pay his employees when he was unlawfully detained.

During an appearance on Tuesday’s “FLX Morning” on Finger Lakes News Radio, Rep. Tenney was asked about where things currently stand with trying to get the Dansville man released.

Last week, Tenney was joined by a bipartisan group of lawmakers as she introduced the Ryan Corbett Resolution, calling for his immediate release.  To listen to the entire interview with Rep. Tenney, please click here.
