Could high school girls’ flag football soon be played in Schuyler County?
At this week’s Watkins Glen Board of Education meeting, board members discussed possibly creating a girls’ team. The Odessa File reports the school will survey students to gauge interest and implement a study to determine whether the sport is adopted and if so, whether it will be a club sport or a Section Four sanctioned team.
In 2022, New York became the eighth state to offer girls’ flag football as a varsity sport.
