Law enforcement in Schuyler County took part in the annual “Shop With a Cop” event held over the weekend with kids chosen to take part from within the county.
In a post on the Watkins Glen Police Department’s Facebook page, it read, “The kids and law enforcement officials had a wonderful time again this year! The food, the candy, the laughs and smiles, the gifts and generosity from the kids! The kids certainly picked out not only some great gifts for themselves but for their families as well!”
The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police teamed up with the Watkins Glen Police Department for the annual event held on Saturday. The Police Benevolent Association, the Deputy Sheriff’s Association, along with Walmart, fully fund the event.
