    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Actual air temperature will be below zero each night through Sunday morning. The prolonged cold could cause pipes to freeze or burst. Daytime high temperatures will climb above zero with afternoon highs of 5 to 15 degrees above zero.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Keuka Comfort Care Home’s Cookie Walk Returns Saturday

For the first time since 2020, the Keuka Comfort Care Home’s annual Christmas Cookie Walk will take place this weekend in the village of Penn Yan. Volunteer coordinator Ashley Jones says volunteers are needed to bake cookies for Saturday’s event

 

You can also drop off your cookies on Friday at the Comfort Care Home. Jones on the types of cookies they are looking for.

 

Saturday’s Cookie Walk will take place at the Penn Yan Presbyterian Church starting at 10 o’clock. If you would like to pre-order cookies, call the Home at (315) 536-1690
