    IMPACTS
    The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 25 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
    ADDITIONAL DETAILS
    Actual air temperature will be below zero each night through Sunday morning. The prolonged cold could cause pipes to freeze or burst. Daytime high temperatures will climb above zero with afternoon highs of 5 to 15 degrees above zero.
    PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS
    Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Middlesex Man Suffers Head Injury After ATV Accident

The operator of an ATV was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after being involved in an accident in the village of Rushville.

According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, Matthew Kingston was riding a four-wheeler north on Gilbert Street just before seven Monday night when he struck a parked car and overturned. The impact caused the 40-year-old Middlesex man to be thrown off the ATV and suffer a head injury.  There has been no update issued on his condition.

The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.  Middlesex Ambulance and the Rushville Fire Department assisted at the scene.
