For the tenth straight year, Ontario County Back the Blue hosted “Shop With a Cop” at the Eastview Mall in Victor on Sunday.
The event paired a child from participating school districts in Ontario County with a volunteer from the Sheriff’s Office, Canandaigua Police Department, State Police Troop E, and Finger Lakes Community College Campus Police. The program relies on the help of each district’s School Resource Officer, who works with their district to identify students who would benefit from a positive experience with law enforcement.
In addition to shopping, participants enjoyed pizza from Salvatore’s Pizza, rock climbing at DICK’S Sporting Goods and visits with Santa.
