An Ithaca man has been charged with murdering his older brother.
30-year-old Bruce Mead, the Second, is accused of stabbing his 37-year-old brother, Zacharias Moore, at the Cayuga Gardens Apartments in Ithaca last December 19th. No other information about the alleged incident has been released.
According to the Tompkins County District Attorney’s Office, Mead is currently in prison for an unrelated 2022 conviction for criminal possession of a weapon. Mead was indicted Monday by a Tompkins County Grand Jury on charges of murder and manslaughter, both in the second degree.
If convicted of murder, Mead faces 25 years to life in prison.
