A reported violation of a court-ordered stay away order of protection resulted in the arrest of a 56-year-old Penn Yan man.
John Mattero is accused of having communication with the protected party which was a violation of the court order.
Mattero was charged by Penn Yan Police with criminal contempt and aggravated family offense and will appear in village court at a later date.
